Tired n Busy

Yes I know! I haven't been updating my blog again. Can't blame me though.. I don't really have the mood to do so.

The 3rd day of the IT roadshow is over and the overall sales seems quite good except for the fact my so called own booth isn't. Haha.. Anyway last day tomorrow and everything will be shifted down to the Bazaar.

I am so tired.. Perhaps I will say things in more details in the next entry.

Support pls!

After weeks of planning, organising and preparing, the IT roadshow finally starts tomorrow.

It was seriously a very busy day for me with not really a single moment slack. From printing out/copying sheets of consignment drafts and cooperation guidelines to finalising details, to meeting suppliers to checks stocks and attending product training and so on and so forth. PHEW! The big day is tomorrow. Best of luck roadshow team 1! Hope all goes smooth and well.

Hey guys please show your support by coming down to NYP atrium on 26th, 27th, 30th and 31st of May from 11am-5pm! Lots of stuffs ranging from laptops, cameras, mp3 players, printers, and many other IT accessories. There are really, really, really good offers not to be missed, no kidding. Items of already low prices even comes with various free gifts and offers.

Haha I am like doing some kind of advertisement but anyway do drop by people. No harm taking a look to see the magnificient offers up for grabs, right!? =P

A Winner, To Me

I took flexi leave so as to attend the microsoft Imagine Cup 2005 grand finals. I wanted to give my bro full support!

My dad, mum and I took a cab down. Then we took the lift up to the 21st floor and I can tell you that it was a splendid sight.

The office has a nice view of the city and the sea! Prior to that, the floor was nicely carpeted, there were nice bright sofas, unique decor and there was also a so called mini cafe there and so on. The workers there are definitely highly motivated working in such a pleasant environment.

Anyway, the competition soon started and 4 teams were fighting for first place. It was a great experience to witness the teams presenting their ideas. It was really interesting to see how they had stretched their creativity and innovation.

After all the presentations, I felt that my bro's team stand a really good chance of winning. However, there was a tough competitor from NTU. At that time, I was pretty sure my bro's team could either get 1st or 2nd place.

As soon as the annoucement came that my bro's team got 3rd place, I felt a little disappointment and was quite shocked. But my shock wasn't just for that moment, it came even more greatly when, what I named 'the tough competitor', came in 2nd place! I just couldn't believe my ears.

I could see from the eyes of my bro and team mates a tinge and sadness as well as disappointment. However, I was proud of them. They spend months working all these project and their idea was actually the best. Perhaps they didn't make their presentation clear enough to the judges. Well still, to win 3rd place is really something. I mean winning hundreds of people and making it to the grand finals is already a big thing. 3rd place is really good!

There are areas in which my bro and his team can improve. It can certainly sell and I am really sure it can do as well as the team that won. I am not being bias but it's true.

Congrats to my bro and his team for making it so far!

Big Walk 2005

I can't believe I managed to wake up at 6am today. I guess I was all ready for the Big Walk 2005. It's my first time so I wasn't sure what to expect.

Met Clarice, Shiya and Michelle at Kallang MRT and we were off to the stadium to embark on our the 10 km journey.. Haha..

It was no sweat! Seriously, compared to Macritchie's treetop walk, Big Walk is nothing. The walk started at Kallang stadium then we walked all the way to somewhere near Fullerton Hotel and made a U-Turn back. My hands felt funny and my legs were a little aching after the whole thing but overall, it was okay.

Later it was an early lunch at Raffles City shopping centre, Food Junction. I wasn't that hungry but was extremely thirsty.

Good exercise for the day! Let's keep fit for life. ;)

In a daze

So so so so sleepy. So so so so tired. I think I can't hold out so late tonight. Will sleep a little earlier or I will pay the price tomorrow.

Today, I was kinda in a daze. Feel so blur... like when someone talks to me, I may seem like I am listening but in fact, my mind is so far away. Anyway, I had a interview with my PEM regarding the trip to France where 4-6 people will get selected to go to the University of Negotia for a month. I had already go for the interview on Monday and it looks like quite a handful are interested. Well, that means chances are really slim.

Initially, I was really interested to go. I mean, it's a great opportunity to be there for a month. Not only you learn new skills and get exposure and the experience being abroad, you get to go sight-seeing too! Yeah, I love travelling so I will love it. BUT!! I am having some second thoughts. Yeah it comes down to one thing again... Opportunity costs! Like the trip itself will cost about 3.5 - 5k and imagine with that amount of money, I can spend it on other things. Things like learning horse riding, participating in more activities and signing up for courses etc.. 1 month is quite a long period too.. I will really miss out in lots of stuffs. Well, we will see about it, it is not confirmed that I will go too.. as I said, chances are slim! Haha..

Oh yes, Happy Birthday to my BRO! Love him lots and congrats to his win in a microsoft competition. His team is in the top 3! Hope they make it all the way! Glad he like the shirt I bought for him although it is a little big.

Alright, will be watching some TV before I take a rest.

Hmmm haha and as you can see, I have changed my layout of my blog. Everything is a little messed up but I will slowly improve it these few days during my free time.

Meanwhile, continue tagging at my tag-board! =)

Oops..

Haven't been updating my blog these few days. Let me try to recall what I have been doing. (I think it's gonna be a long post...)

After school on Thursday, went down with Clarice to Parkway Parade to eat a mouth-watering meal. Steamboat! Love the food and I love the chilli sauce there. Oh yah, there was this couple sitting beside us and their soup was Tom Yum. I can tell you that the soup was hot enough already but guess what.. they actually asked for a bowl of chilli and they put it all in. I would die if i drink their soup.

After the deliciously-delicious meal, we still bought Rotiboy. Then it was pool. Haven't played for ages and I played real bad that day. Out of 5-6 games, I think I only won 2. Lol..

On friday, left school about 3+ because of personal selling. Had to collect the cakes and make some delivery. Bro came to pick me up because it was impossible for me to take home 9 boxes of cakes all by myself. We went home first to unload 7 boxes to the fridge then went down to town to deliver it to my mum as her friend ordered 2. By the time all was done, it was about 4+ and I was still early. Supposed to meet my pals at 6 at Somerset. So went to somerset and walked down to Centrepoint to look around. Finally ended up at Times Bookshop and an interesting book caught my eye. Can't remember the title but it was something about your own luck. I started reading the first few pages and was interrupted by Mel's phonecall.

Sadly, I couldn't continue reading the book because Mel arrived and I went to meet her at the MRT. We were deciding where to go to pass time. And it was funny because we keep suggesting places so we were walking back and forth for a while. We finally decided on Taka and went to Kinokuniya to browse some books.

I was actually looking for a birthday present for my brother. Hmm was thinking can I buy him a book? What book would he read? Mel did introduced really 'appropriate' books to me. Haa... well, in the end didn't decide to buy him a book. We ended up at the palmistry section and started reading our own palms. Hahaha..

Ok won't go into detail other stuffs. Met the rest, Michelle, Pei Sin then later met Wati and Shamimi. Headed down to Bugis and finally met Clarice there. We all had our dinner at a nearby coffeeshop. Later Wati and Shamimi left while we headed down to the arcade to vent our frustrations!!! (Kidding..) Played the drums.. and some shooting games. Haha feels good being away from school and being with friends.

Saturday was back at Bugis again with Clarice! Saw this jacket at 77th street but there wasn't a size S for me. Too bad. Then continued looking around for a present for my bro. I bought a T shirt for him but kinda think that it is a little too big. I actually asked for a size M but she gave me an L. I didn't check!!

It was still early. Went to Kovan and walk around more before going for our guitar lesson. Yeah and I thought I had dinner plans with my family but I called my mum but she asked me to settle my own dinner. Haha so it was with Clarice and Shiya. Headed back to town again and ate at a foodcourt near scotts.

I went to Far East 77th Street to see if there was the jacket I like again. There was so I bought it.. Haha.. btw it's brown and I don't know why I have a sudden craze over brown color..

Ok it's getting boring reading all these. Just for my reference.. My hand is tired too. Going to have my tea break now..

The days are longggg..

Finally the day is soon over... again..

TEP seems to have taken my life away, change me to a different person and make me hate looking forward to another day. Zzzzz..

Every day becomes a boring routine. Waking up early, going to school and counting the time. The clock doesn't seems to be ticking at all and it sucks. Haha.. I think majority of the time I am looking at the clock and hoping it passes 5pm asap. TEP students sure love the number SIX. They would know..

Well, our team is actually preparing for the IT fair from 18th to 20th May. Hope everything turns out fine and well.

I am counting down the weeks. Trying my best to think positive.

Dizziness..

I am on MC today.

Reached NUH about 11.10am and waited as usual to see Dr James Hui. It was rather fast today as the average waiting time can be about 1 to 2 hours.

When I went in, I had a tiny shock because surrounding the room was like a gang of doctors. I think they are supposedly trainees.

Dr Hui showed my dad and I the scope pictures and although I didn't know how to see it, there was a difference in the previous pictures. It did showed that the knee was 'repaired' and there wasn't any messy and torn tissues. Then my dad asked about the success rate of the op and Dr Hui said, "I would say about 80%." When asked about the 20% he replied that after an op, it can never be perfect. Yeah..

I was then told to proceed to room 15 to remove my stiches. I sat up on a bed and stretched my legs out. The nurse got a dressing kit ready and I didn't felt afraid to look at how she removed the stiches. I remembered the first time after my first op, I looked away because I didn't dared to look. Anyway, I only felt very slight pain and weird feelings when the stiches were removed. As nurses always say, it was like an ant bite. Yup, which was quite true or perhaps maybe I was already immuned to all these kinda stuffs after going through 3 ops. Yup, so after cleaning up, the nurse sprayed some dressing and it is covered once again with a transparent dressing film.

My dad went out to check something with the nurse. And that's when I experienced something a little scary.

I walked out of the room and all of a sudden, I was extremely dizzy. Oh no am I going to faint?

As I walked quickly towards the chairs to take a sit, images were blurred and everything became so bright and glaring. Voices and noises were echoeing in my ears and for the first time in my life I felt so afraid. I felt so helpless not knowing what to do. I closed my eyes but when I did, I felt that I may go into a deep sleep and never wake up again. Anytime soon, my world would blanked out and I tried my very best to stay alert and awake.

My head was spinning and I saw my dad walking back to me. I told him that I was feeling giddy and he told me to lean down and put my head down between my legs. Felt a bit better after that.

It was a terrible feeling when you are about to faint. At that time, I seriously had the feeling like I was between heaven and earth. No kidding. I am still feeling a little dizzy till now. But it's much better. Think I need to get some rest. Oh yes, one good news.. I can go back to sports again. =)

Surprise Surprise

Wow it certainly feels good after having a cool shower. The weather is freaking hot these few days as temperatures soars drastically. Even at night, you can still feel the heat.

Anyway, we celebrated Clarice birthday yesterday. We all had dinner at pizza hut and were trying to surprise Clarice with a cake. But it failed though.. heh heh.. however, it was still surprise surprise when we gave her her present. Especially the video. Haha that shows our plan was perfect. She didn't suspect anything during the recording days.

So after dinner, Clarice, Michelle and I went to catch a late night movie at Lido. (It was my first time staying out so late!) We wanted to watch the Interpreter but seats were only available at the front rows. In the end, we decided on Coach Carter. It's really an inspirational movie and I really love certain parts when the actors said really powerful and meaningful words.

After that, we took a cab back to my house. We watched videos over and over again, talked and played cards. Time really went Zooom and before we know it, it was 7am. We then went to the nearby coffeechop for breakfast and chatted for a while.

Yup, this is what we call releasing all the stress we have. Haha.. =X

Ok it's time for my rest now. It's bedtime!
